About me

I

was born in Kurunegala, a beautiful city in Sri Lanka, inspired by the strength and love of my mother and father and supported by my sister. My early education was at Maliyadeva College, a prestigious institution founded by visionary leaders like Henry Steel Olcott and Anagarika Dharmapala.

I graduated with second-class upper honors in Facilities Management from the University of Moratuwa, one of Sri Lanka's top public universities. After completing my first degree, I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey by co-founding Firolab Innovations (Pvt) Ltd with my elder brother, Supun.

While building my career, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change and Environmental Management at the University of Colombo. A few years later, I pursued my passion for technology and earned a Master of Information Technology from the University of Peradeniya.

Alongside my entrepreneurial endeavors, I have worked as a visiting lecturer for educational institutions, specializing in subjects related to building services, such as Building automation system,HVAC systems, boilers, and more. I have also been fortunate to contribute to several consulting projects, including carbon footprint calculations for multinational companies and government institutions.

Since my university years, I have been dedicated to social work, particularly in the field of education. With the support of my friends, I’ve organized educational boot camps, contributed to building new classrooms, and worked to uplift communities in need.

Today, I live in Dubai with my wife, a wonderful woman who is my biggest source of encouragement and support. I am deeply passionate about continuous learning and spend my time exploring photography, design, and creative writing. Driven by this passion, I founded Wachana.lk, Sri Lanka’s premium Sinhala article platform, which now hosts over 800 articles.

Together with my brother, I’m also working on new product innovations, including Graficto. For me, life is an unstoppable journey, and I strive to navigate it guided by the teachings of my religion, always aiming to make a meaningful and lasting impact.
