Carbon Footprint Calculation and Sustainability Practices for KVPL Rubber Sector

As a core external consultant for the Rubber Research Institute of Sri Lanka, I played a pivotal role in assisting Kelani Valley Plantations PLC rubber sector with calculating their organizational carbon footprint in alignment with the GHG Protocol. I meticulously prepared detailed reports outlining the sector’s emissions, ensuring compliance with global standards. Additionally, I conducted training programs to educate employees on sustainable practices and carbon management. Over 10 estates' emissions were collected and analyzed, providing a clear roadmap for reducing environmental impact and fostering long-term sustainability in the rubber sector. This project was essential in guiding the sector towards eco-friendly practices, ensuring that they contribute to a greener future.
