Restoring Heritage: Reviving an Old Temple in Balangoda

For my third social work project, I, along with my friends, organized the restoration of an old temple in the Balangoda area. On that day, we came together to clean the temple premises, paint its structures, and breathe new life into this sacred space. In addition to the physical restoration, we also provided sponsorship to the temple to support its future maintenance and development. It was a fulfilling experience to contribute to preserving a place of cultural and spiritual significance. This project not only strengthened my bond with my friends but also reminded me of the importance of giving back to our roots and preserving traditions for future generations. Moments like these truly bring a sense of purpose and joy to life.
